Nick Cave To Speak In Aussie Public Library
The State Library of New South Whales will play host to singer/songwriter Nick Cave who will speak about his latest work 'Abattoir Blues/The Lyre of Orpheus'.
"Having an icon like Nick Cave talking about books and writing in the Mitchell Library - an icon in its own right - is a simply fantastic way to finish our year-long tribute to Australia's outstanding writers, both past and present" State Librarian & Chief Executive Dagmar Schmidmaier said in a statement.
Triple J's Steve Cannane will interview Cave about his writing for music and fiction.
Cave has also written the script for the movie The Proposition which is currently being filmed. The movie will star Guy Pearce.
Nick Cave Final Last Words will happen at 1.30pm on December 19. Tickets go on sale November 30.
