Nick Cave is among a host of international and Irish music stars and comedians who will headline a two-week music festival at the Showgrounds in Cork.
Brian Wilson, the former Beachboy singing sensation is also planned to perform, according to the Evening Echo.
Aiken Promotions announced today that at huge array of stars have been signed up for the Cork Music and Comedy 2005 Live in The Marquee gigs from June 13 to July 17.
Former Beachboy Brian Wilson will open the spectacular string of shows on June 30, and on July 1 Aslan will take to the stage, to be followed the following night by pop heartthrob Brian McFadden at the Showgrounds.
Among the big-name artists appearing in early July will be Australian singer Nick Cave, who lived in west Cork for a number of years; Van Morrison, the Gypsy Kings, Al Green, Paul Brady, US country legend Dwight Yoakam, comic Tommy Tiernan, Paddy Casey, Ronan Keating, the ex-Boyzone star; and Christy Moore.
