Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds make a guest appearance in Manga Surprise 1, put out by Kodansha in 1996, in a story by Paul Pope. The strip was originally published in Japan under the title Supertrouble. There are other stories there, by a litany of talent from Japan's Comic Afternoon. I was able to order it from http://www.indyworld.com/comics/. After some initial problems receiving the book, they sent me a copy of it signed by a few of the original artists, including Mr. Pope.

Paul Pope (who has done such U.S. comics as THB and Buzz Buzz Comics Magazine) is a well recognized comic artist in the Manga vein.
The story is about two young girls sneaking into a Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds concert. Trying to get into the concert, they run into Blixa who gives them pointers as to how to get into the show. The story is about 8 pages long and focuses mostly on the two girls. Nick and Co. aren't even referred to by name.
